Two cholesterol drugs, Zocor plus Zetia, increased the risk of death by 4% - Part 1
Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com fatnews.com larryhobbs@fatnews.com A 4-year study found that the combination of two cholesterol-lowering drugs - Zocor (a statin) plus Zetia - did NOT reduce the total risk of death. In fact, the overall death rate was 4% higher in people given these drugs. This may have been due to random chance, but at the very least, it shows that that these drugs did absolutely no good whatsoever. But wait. There's more. People given these drugs had more cancer. People given these drugs had more congestive heart failure. People given these drugs had more strokes. People given these drugs had more violent or accidental deaths, which may have included suicides. People given these drugs had more deaths listed as "other" or "Could not be classifed". So the bottom line is These drugs did NOT reduce the risk of total risk of death but they DID increase the risk of cancer and death from other causes. I will post separate videos showing the increased risk of cancer and other problems associated with these drugs. How many doctors and patients would take these drugs if they were told the truth? That is, if they were told "These drugs will NOT reduce your risk of dying "But may increase your risk of cancer" " suicide" " violent or accidental death" " congestive heart failure and" " stroke." Furthermore, what if doctors and patients were also knew that These drugs have NEVER been shown to to benefit people over the age of 65 as noted in BusinessWeek, Jan 17 ...
